This past Spring season was a whirlwind! We started in February and trucked right on through to this past weekend. While I’m thankful for my brides and corporate clients, it’s always nice to wind down in the summer, take a breath, and catch up on family time and paperwork.
One February wedding was a standout to me- it was a unique challenge that I gladly accepted! Sophie came to me roughly one month before her big day; she and her now-husband Mat were planning a destination wedding in New Orleans at some of my favorite venues: Bevolo Lighting and Restaurant August. As a fellow creative, Sophie had definite ideas on what she wanted…and of course it was beautiful! Their big day was filled with unique, embellished details, including place cards hand-lettered by the bride! Highlights of Sophie and Mat’s wedding included a bespoke 7’x8′ magnolia leaf ceremony backdrop and a beautiful seated dinner tablescape. Their flowers included a seasonal mix of garden roses, ranunculus, anemones, and parrot tulips. I loved working with ANGLE Events and A Bryan Photo for this special event!
